Happy Weekend

{via my Instagram}
We are here stateside visiting the in-laws and we have had a great time so far.
I feel like a kid in a candy store when I go visit Target or TJ Maxx. A year of not having
some of these stores to visit and walk down each and every aisle is a very sad situation.
At TJ Maxx I found this crystal skull that I am absolutely loving. I know it may not be for everyone's
style, but I love the way it balances the girly stuff. I recently spotted one in Katie Ermilio's home
{and also here} and I love the way it looks over books. I will do that as soon as we have a home
and we are settled. I am also loving my J.Crew necklace {sold out}, my new
Michael Kors iPad case {also via TJ Maxx} and this nail polish in Orange Fizz
The perfect coral for the Spring.

For links this week I have one that will help you stay organized: Rachel's top 4 apps.

Have a great Easter weekend!
And to my Peru friends, I miss you all already!

Goodbye Peru

When you read this I will already be traveling stateside.

The day is here to say goodbye. Peru is really a beautiful country
with amazing landscapes and beaches.

A Few Last Moments in Peru

Today is our last day in Peru and it's a sad day. This afternoon we have a going away bbq
at our friends' place before AJ and I head to the airport. Our long 24-hour travels includes
three legs with layovers, and a driving trip to my inlaws' home.
Here are a few of our last moments in this city.
- packing our bags
- enjoying a morning snack at Starbucks
- a baby shower for Ella Sofia
- a last minute piece I had framed by my framer man
- enjoyed a great dinner at La Plazita with good friends
- a going away girls' night out at Cala for one of our friends
- a night of shopping at Jockey Plaza
- trying on shoes on sale at the Salvatore Ferragamo store {no shoes in my size}
- last minute shopping trip to Zara {Lima has a store now!}

Prepared for A Long Flight

{Zara poncho, Tory Burch Reva Flats, J.Crew Necklace (sold out), iPad}

Tomorrow is my last day in Peru. AJ and I are taking the night flight and although I am looking forward
to being back home, I am not looking forward to our 24-hour flight. Inspired by Taylor's outfit, I have decided to wear this Zara poncho with black leggings and my Tory Burch flats for the long flight.
Comfort is key as I am seven months pregnant. I am really hoping AJ sleeps on the flight,
but just in case I preloaded my iPad with several new games and his favorite movies.
I also downloaded a couple of books {The Hunger Games and The Paris Wife} for me
and taking several magazines. There are many things I will miss about Peru,
but I am ready to being back home.

Places to Visit in Lima: Where to Stay {Hotels}

Miraflores Park Hotel
JW Marriott
When we first arrived in Lima we stayed at the Miraflores Park Hotel for a month
while we moved in to our apartment. The staff at the hotel were very nice and provided
us with excellent customer service. They made us feel at home.
Another good alternative is the JW Marriott. Both hotels are walking distance
to great dining, parks, the beach, and shopping.

Places To Visit in Lima: Bargain {Shopping}

Inka Market
La Quinta (behind the kiosk)
In these two places, you will find great deals. At the Inka Market, you will
find very Peruvian goods, art, silver, mirrors, alpaca dolls, etc. At La Quinta,
you will find brand name clothing from Theory, Marc by Marc Jacobs, to Abercrombie
& Fitch. They sell the "seconds". The store isn't well organized so you have to dig deep.
